Tasting Tully’s New “Cinnamon Pumpkin Cheesecake” | An Autumn Treat with Subtle Spice & Rich Flavor

Chestnuts, pumpkins, sweet potatoes—autumn flavors are arriving in full force these days. Famous Japanese coffee chain “TULLY’S COFFEE” has also debuted a brand-new seasonal dessert: a cheesecake made with pumpkin. I picked one up right away, so here is my review of how it tastes.

A First for Tully’s: The Pumpkin & Cinnamon Cheesecake

Sold under the name “Cinnamon Pumpkin Cheesecake,” it was released in September 2026. The price is 530 yen (tax included). It is roughly the same size as other cakes at Tully’s.

It is a baked cheesecake made using Ebisu pumpkin from Hokkaido, built on a cookie crust base infused with cinnamon.

This is a completely new flavor profile that Tully’s has never sold in the past.

Speaking of cinnamon and pumpkin cheesecakes, Tully’s competitor Starbucks offered one every autumn from 2022 to 2025 as a beloved fall classic. While there is no official news yet for 2026, there is a very good chance Starbucks will release one again. Here is my review, including a slight comparison with Starbucks’ version.

Tasting Impressions

While there were moments where the cheese batter felt slightly watery on the tongue, it is overall pleasantly moist. It offers a creamy richness combined with the warm, comforting sweetness of pumpkin—a flavor profile sure to satisfy any fan of autumn desserts. The cookie base has absorbed some moisture and butter from the cake, making it soft and crumbly rather than crunchy. The cinnamon isn’t overpowering, coming through as a subtle, gentle warmth. This mild yet crisp touch of spice provides a wonderful accent.

Compared to Starbucks’ similar offering, Tully’s version feels more understated overall. Starbucks’ crust was also noticeably crunchier. Personally, I prefer the bolder flavor and crisper texture of the Starbucks version, but some may find Tully’s more gentle intensity to be just right.

Above all, you can thoroughly enjoy the harmonious blend of pumpkin and dairy goodness. If you love autumn flavors, be sure to check it out!
